Waltz: A smooth, elegant dance characterized by long, flowing movements and graceful turns. You will dance at a 3/4 time which is perfect for slow, romantic songs.
Quickstep: A lively dance which you will perform to upbeat, swing-style music. This style of dance is characterized by fast, syncopated footwork, and incorporates a lot of hops and skips.
Foxtrot: A classic dance which can be characterized by smooth, gliding movements and a strong sense of musicality. Set to slow to mid-tempo songs, and includes both long, sweeping steps and smaller, more intricate footwork.
Viennese Waltz: A faster, more energetic version of the waltz (see above), characterized by quick turns and spins. You will dance at a 3/4 time which is usually classical music.
Tango: A dramatic and intense dance that’s characterized by sharp, staccato movements and strong, grounded footwork. You will usually perform to slower, more dramatic music.
